What’s up, fellow Obsessives?
October is by far my favorite month at Orangetheory. I’m wondering if it’s also yours or if you have a different favorite? If so, let me know which month and why!

Hell Week Template Names Are Out

Hell Week 2026 is just three weeks away and many studios are already full Halloween form with plenty of decorations and signage.
If you’re an OTF Obsessive, it’s indeed the most wonderful time of the year.
The workout names are also no longer a secret and is custom, I’m going to take a guess at what’s behind all the Hell Week monikers.
Saturday, October 24- Strike The Match
Either a partner workout they put on the first day because they know no one’s going to ball on the first day of Hell Week or an endurance treadmill effort where you’re asked to “match” your distance between two long blocks.
Sunday, October 25- Turn Up The Heat
Reverse drop sets all day long?
Monday October 26 - In The Hot Seat
They probably want us to think this is a rowing template, but I’m on guard for a switcheroo with plenty of squats and lunges.
Tuesday, October 27- Playing With Fire
Hell Week version of Inferno? Pretty please? (You guys know I love my run-rows.)
Wednesday, October 28- Smoke Rises
I feel pretty confident saying we’ll be doing plenty of inclines for this one.
Thursday, October 29- Fuel The Flames
A progressive treadmill workout that sees us cycling all the way from base to all-out.
Friday, October 30- All Hell Breaks Loose
Every year it seems like there’s a good resistance band workout on the floor, I think this is the one.
Saturday, October 31- Blaze of Glory
No idea, but I hope it’s the hardest one of the set. It’s a Saturday Halloween. Go big or go home!
🗣️ Spoilers or No Spoilers?
Last week I asked if you liked to read template spoilers before you hit the studio that day … Here’s what you said!
“Team Check! Knowing what shoes, avoiding a class where I’d be prone to injury… and since I’m a 4:55am-er it’s nice to sleep in if I’m on the fence about going and the template doesn’t align with my goals. I attend 4-5 days a week and am flexible about rest days so intel helps me decide. Thank you Mr. (& Mrs.) DC.” - Sarah U.
“Team Check here! I'd prefer to know what the template is for the day. I do strength classes at another gym so I don't want to come to OTF to work on the same muscle group or if I miss a strength class, I can know what OTF has in store so I can make it up that way. Plus...if burpees are on the menu, I'm a no-show! LOL. In all seriousness, most other gyms I've attended show the template for the following day on their apps. I wish OTF did. I just like to know what I'm walking into.” - Elaine P.
“I am Team Check 1000%!!! With the newly formulated intentional templates of 2026, I find that they are mostly geared toward runners and not powerwalkers. I like to read the template ahead of time to figure out how to really PUSH myself to get the HIIT workout I crave. For me, when there is too much endurance work, I need to significantly increase my incline or walking pace to feel challenged as a powerwalker. Sometimes I will even dabble with running if the all-outs are too short. You see, when all-outs are only 30 seconds long, the treadmill spends most of that time ramping up to 10%, so the challenge isn't there. Instead, I will run 10 mph to get my heart pumping! I need to plan before my classes to ensure I am challenged daily. Make sense? I think so! It certainly works better for me.” - Missy D.
“Team Don’t Care!! I’m going regardless of early intel. Yes sometimes I look but I’ve never said I’m not going because of that!!!” - Victoria G.

• A big Orangetheory franchisee is launching a phone-free “daydream studio” that focuses on meditation and intentional rest. Both of which I could use. (Athletech News)

Quality, Tested CBD – and Why It Matters
When you’re ready to try CBD, it’s important to trust that the product matches the label. Independent lab testing verifies the ingredients and screens for contaminants. While some companies cut corners here, CBDistillery tests every batch and posts the results online.
